“Ghosts in the High-Rise” tells the crazy adventure of the two innkeepers Jette and August Deibelschmidt. 200 years ago, they robbed their guests out of greed and were subsequently cursed. Only seven good deeds can redeem them. While the ghosts in the original are up to mischief in a Berlin prefab building, the two end up in Großhennersdorf during the carnival.
The fools chose the scenery carefully: In the GKC version, the ghosts bring to life places that have almost been forgotten. In addition to the old gas station, the long-closed outdoor pool, the Berthelsdorf Broilerstübel and the forest hut in Schönbrunn are also included. The carnivalists were not alone, says Angelina Tittmann. "In the specially filmed scenes, they were supported by the Berthelsdorf fire brigade brass band and numerous car-loving extras, who took on a very special guest role with their old GDR cars."
